AT LAST .....

after umpteen false starts, we're ON THE ROAD. Yep, another exciting trip and we're gonna share bits of it with you if you choose to log in or subscribe. Hope it brings some joy, inspires you to consider how to spend the best days of your life (the ones right now) and gives a small taste of some of the beautiful and easily-reached parts of NSW and Qld. We're not in to rock hopping (serious 4WD'ing) or months on end in desolate locations, we're just a little too soft for  that. So whatever we do, you can too! So GET OUT & DO IT NOW.

Home for the next few months 

Robbie, Jane & Ellie - Like to think Rob's big smile is from the joke John told, but we know it's because we won't be around for a while to nag him. Have fun mate!

So where are we off to? Well that depends upon our moods, but the idea setting out is:-

* A big first day - we're aiming to make it all the way to Ourimbah rest stop. Only joking, we will make it to Broke (McNamara Park)
* Wollemi National Park (Dunns Swamp - sounds really unappealing but is apparently magnificent)
* Mudgee area (food and scoffing white and red liquidy stuff)
* Dubbo (zoo, goal)
* Warrambungles (as a great fella tells us, they're "just rocks". But we haven't seen them yet)
* Pillaga Springs (getting into practice with this semi-retirement gig by soaking with the other oldies)

then cover ground we rushed through last time

* St George and Roma
* Carnarvon Gorge - we'll b e a bit braver this time with how far we walk
* Emerald and Charter Towers

After that, we sort of know. But if someone really inspires us to change and go somewhere altogether different, we just may! If you get  post from Broome, you know we seriously changed our plans.

If you like what we put up, let us know, as nothing inspires like a bit of positive reinforcement. If you don't like it, keep your ideas to yourself and get out and do better .... only joking, but if you are ever going to get out there, what are you waiting for?

So how did we come up with the name of the blog? Well, we had to change the car rego over to NSW and the RMS randomly gave us a number plate which was 100% aimed at John and the manic way he was going about life. Check out the plate on the car. Other hints he should have taken were the severely infected shin *2 weeks in bed), the cold he caught (another week side-lined), the 4wd fault with the car (another 2 weeks) and no doubt many other "please listen" situations the Universe was screaming at him "slow down and smell the roses". So we will be.

So when will the first proper update come out? Well, whenever. That's the whole point of Just Cruzin', it happens when it happens. Until then, have fun whatever you are doing. And if you're not having fun, DO SOMETHING ELSE.
